Gracie Bullyproof is a non-violent, self-defense based program that will give your child the confidence and the tools to stand up for themselves. We teach children to diffuse confrontations with verbal assertiveness and to neutralize a threat without punching or kicking if they are attacked.
Essentially, we teach your children to fight fire with water.
Gracie Combatives is our beginner program for adults. In this program, you will learn the 36 core techniques of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu in a fun, safe and cooperative environment. Each one-hour lesson addresses one standing and one ground self-defense technique. You can start the program at any time and participate in any class regardless of previous experience or athletic ability.
Come try it for yourself with a 10-day free trial!
In this 15-lesson program, we will teach you how to neutralize the 20 most common attacks ranging from having your hair grabbed to being pinned to the ground by a weapon-bearing assailant. Each one-hour Women Empowered lesson addresses two techniques. You can start the program at any time and participate in any class without previous experience. Unlike most self-defense systems that rely heavily on strength, speed, and coordination, the techniques in the Women Empowered program employ leverage, technique, and timing, so anyone, regardless of age or athletic ability, can make them work against larger opponents.

Beyond Gracie Combatives belt, Gracie Jiu-Jitsu consists of hundreds of advanced techniques organized into a clearly defined, systematic curriculum called the Master Cycle. The Master Cycle’s unique structure simplifies the journey to black belt by organizing all of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) into seven positional chapters (Mount, Side Mount, Guard, Half Guard, Back Mount, Leg Locks, Standing), each of which is studied for several months before moving on to the next chapter.
If you've achieved the rank of Gracie Combatives belt or higher in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and you would like to continue on the path to BJJ black belt in a safe, structured, and friendly learning environment, the Master Cycle is for you!
About the Instructor
Nico Gladis found a life-long passion in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu when he had his first lesson in 2011. Nico had always been interested in martial arts, but was skeptical of a grappling martial art like Jiu Jitsu. His skepticism was allayed after realizing the arts effectiveness for smaller practitioners.
In 2019, Nico earned his Purple Belt under Rener and Ryron Gracie. He also completed the rigorous Gracie University Instructor Certification Program in early 2017. It is his passion to share the art with those who need it most in Southwestern Wisconsin.
Honestly, I was starting to lose interest from the constant worry of injury. But since that first time I came and trained with you, that Jiu Jitsu fire has been rekindled. So I am very thankful for you and your academy. Gracie Combatives is my new addiction and I can't wait to see where this journey takes me.
Nearly a year ago I stepped out of my comfort zone and on to the mat for the first time. All it took was one class and I was hooked! Over the past 10 months I’ve gained a deeper understanding of my strengths and my weaknesses, gotten stronger and more self confident and even made some new friends.
Seriously you guys, try Jiu-Jitsu. Or that other thing you’ve always been secretly interested in but you’re scared you’ll suck at. You never know how it might grow you in ways you never would have imagined!
I am super excited to be training at Ivy Jiu Jitsu! I enjoy learning and practicing new techniques in a safe and positive environment. Learning jiu jitsu has helped me become more confident in my ability to effectively protect myself and others around me.
